Paying in person

Your Kadmos card is your key to easy and secure payments when shopping or dining. There are two reliable ways to pay:
  • Contactless Payment (Tap and Go):
If you see the contactless symbol on the payment terminal, you can simply tap your card on the reader. For smaller amounts, you won’t need to enter your PIN, making it super quick. If the total is above the limit, you’ll be prompted to enter your PIN after tapping. Always check the terminal for instructions, as the limit for contactless varies by location.
  • Chip & PIN Payment (Insert the Card):
For purchases above the contactless limit or when contactless is unavailable, insert your Kadmos card into the terminal’s chip slot. The machine will prompt you to enter your PIN. This method takes a few more seconds but adds an extra layer of security for larger transactions.
  • No Swiping:
Kadmos cards do not support swiping because it’s less secure. Swiping can expose your card details to fraud, which is why Kadmos has disabled this option.
Security Tip: Use contactless payments for quick transactions, but for larger payments, the chip and PIN option provides extra protection.
