3D Secure

Two-factor authentication for your card

When shopping online, security is essential. That’s why Kadmos uses 3D Secure (3DS) to protect your card from unauthorized transactions. This means that sometimes, you will be asked to provide a 3DS code to confirm a transaction. Here’s what you need to know about 3DS and how it works for you.

1. What Is 3D Secure (3DS)?

3D Secure, or 3DS, is an extra layer of protection for online payments. When you make a purchase online, 3DS asks you to verify that it’s really you making the transaction. This added step helps prevent fraud and keeps your card safe from unauthorized use.
When you make a purchase, after entering your card details, you’ll be prompted to enter a 3DS code to confirm the transaction. Without this code, the payment won’t go through.

2. How Do I Get the 3DS Code?

Kadmos makes sure the 3DS verification process is easy and quick. Here’s how you’ll receive your code:
  • By SMS: As soon as you’re prompted for 3DS verification, Kadmos will send a one-time code directly to your registered phone number via SMS. You’ll receive the code within seconds.
  • By WhatsApp: If you have a WhatsApp account connected to your phone number, Kadmos will also send the 3DS code through WhatsApp for your convenience. This way, you can choose the fastest option to retrieve the code and complete your payment.
Once you receive the code (either through SMS or WhatsApp), simply enter it on the payment page to confirm your transaction. Do not share it with anyone.

3. Why 3DS Is Important for Your Security

3DS helps protect you by ensuring that only you can approve online transactions with your Kadmos card. Even if someone else has your card details, they won’t be able to make purchases without access to the 3DS code sent to your phone. This makes online shopping safer and reduces the risk of fraud.
Remember: Always make sure your phone number is up-to-date in the Kadmos app to receive your 3DS codes without any issues. By using 3DS, Kadmos ensures that your online transactions are secure and only authorized by you.
